A Partial Circumnavigation:

• encircles the outside of a recognisable geographical feature and..
• includes less than 90% of its expanse, or..
• starts and ends at different points

An Inner Circumnavigation:

• encircles the inside of a recognisable geographical feature
• includes at least 90% of its expanse
• starts and ends at the same point

• 8-Point System. Where a perimeter or area cannot be measured the route should contact the feature's cardinal extremes (northernmost, southernmost, westernmost and easternmost) and an additional 4 points to form 8 touching points spaced evenly around the perimeter. The start/end point may be one of the 8 points.

A Partial Inner Circumnavigation:

• encircles the inside of a recognisable geographical feature, and..
• includes less than 90% of its expanse or..
• starts and ends at different points

A Circumnavigation of Greenland encircles the outside of the island.

A Partial Circumnavigation of Greenland encircles less than 90% or starts and ends at a different point.

An Inner Circumnavigation of the Greenland Ice Sheet encircles the inside of the perimeter of the ice sheet, following the 8-Point System guidelines.

A Partial Inner Circumnavigation of the Greenland Ice Sheet encircles less than 90% or starts and ends at a different point.
